Ritu Kumar

I am a self-trained artist, born and raised in enchanting India. When I was a child, I made my first piece of artwork - Chandra Sekhar Azad - A Martyr of India's Freedom Struggle, which was appreciated by many and also won me a trophy. I was so proud that I carried it around wherever I went. Anyway, later on I found my loving and supporting husband, and moved to America with him. As mother of two growing children, it has been constant struggle to keep my passion alive, but now that my younger one has started school have more time to paint and follow my dream .I am just an artist, following her dream. I have been painting most of my life. Through art as a medium, I started with watercolors; now, I use oils, acrylics, and anything I can get my hands on.
